UoP spares colleges with problems

Institutions attached to the University of Pune which have got more than than one

members, Atul Bagul, moved a proposal urging that the university should stop

principals. "The UoP have no
system to verify whether a peculiar principal is full-time or officiating
person and whether his assignment is approved or non-approved," said Normality M
Kanawade. "Several officiating principals are working without approval. The
university is extending grants to colleges that neither have got mental faculties nor
principals," he added. Another
Senate member, Chintamani Ghate said that professional establishments like Law
College have got echt job in determination qualified people to fill up the post. "The
issue cannot be generalised," he said, citing such as institutions' attempt to seek
candidates through advertisements. Another member suggested freedom to
colleges that have got started the procedure of appointing full-time principals. Senior member Nandkumar Nikam
said, such as freedom cannot be granted unless the college aptly turns out attempt to
fill in the principal's post. "Many establishments simply do
not issue assignment orders to campaigners approved by UoP panel. Many others
restrict their advertisements to local
dailies." Declaring the show
cause move, vice-chancellor Narendra Jadhav said, "We will do allowances to
colleges with echt troubles for not meeting the norm. However, wilful
neglect of the same by the directions on fragile evidence is simply
unacceptable." "At least
conventional arts, scientific discipline and commercialism colleges should not give alibi of
inability to happen suitable candidates. I can understand jobs faced by
technical professional institutions," Jadhav added. The Senate have decided to
appoint a three-member panel, led by Students' Social Welfare Board head Sambhaji
Pathare, to analyze the legality of introducing centralised admittances for the
post-graduate science courses of study like Meter Sc, MCA, Masters in biotech et al. "The panel will submit its
report in adjacent two hebdomads and we will take the same to the direction council,"
Jadhav said. It further
appointed a one-man fact-finding committee of S.I. Patil on the issue of UoP

facing cuts from their wages at the case of the support federal agency that is
out to retrieve the loan money in lawsuits of default by the original loan seeker. Bagul had moved a resolution
seeking Senate directives to the university's finance section to stop

that such as directive can't be legally tenable. Instead of passing the resolution,
the Senate opted to take a short letter of the same and launch a fact-finding exercise.
